Greene King PLC22 July 2005 Directors' shareholdings Greene King plc announces that, on 21 July 2005, 74,103 shares in the companywere acquired by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee of theGreene King Employee Share Trust. As a result of the acquisition, Rooney Anand,Mark Angela, David Elliott and Michael Shallow, who are beneficiaries of thetrust, have acquired an interest in the 74,103 shares in the company. Inaddition, on 20 and 21 July the trustees transferred a total of 14,000 shares toemployees to satisfy options exercised by employees under the Greene KingExecutive Share Option Scheme 1994. The total number of shares owned by theGreene King Employee Share Trust is therefore now 479,383.
