Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc (the "Company")The Company was notified on 21 June 2006 that on 19 June 2006 the Trustee ofthe Cable and Wireless Employee Share Ownership Trust (the "Trust") made thefollowing disposals: * 24,481 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.09 per share; and * 81,292 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.0825 per share. Following these disposals, 50,363,024 Ordinary Shares remain held under theTrust.George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero, Tony Rice and Rob Rowley (allbeing Directors of the Company), in their capacity as members of the class ofbeneficiaries under the Trust, and Towers Perrin Share Plan Services (GSY)Limited, in its capacity as Trustee of the Trust, are deemed to have anon-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.ENDCable & Wireless PLCRelated Shares:
