Notification of transactions of persons discharging managerial responsibility

Ascential plc ("the Company" / LSE: ASCL.L) has received notification of the following transactions by its Chief Executive Officer, Duncan Painter.

Duncan Painter has exercised 679,689 share options pursuant to the Company's Performance Share Plan and sold the resultant shares. The net proceeds from the share sale have primarily been used to settle outstanding tax liabilities resulting from share ownership Mr Painter has held in the Company since its IPO in February 2016. The remaining net proceeds have been used to purchase the Company's shares in the market.

Following these transactions, Duncan Painter has a resultant holding of 3,752,343 shares, 0.93% of ordinary shares in issue.
