UMECO PLC17 March 2008 Umeco plc (the "Company") Umeco plc - Notification of changes in Directors & PDMRs interests 17 March 2008 The Company announces that Andrew Moss has today sold 16,600 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the Company (representing 0.03 per cent of the current issued ordinary share capital of the Company) at a price of 505 pence per ordinary share. Following this transaction, Andrew Moss' SIPP fund today purchased 16,600 ordinary shares at a price of 505.2 pence per ordinary share (representing 0.03 per cent of the current issued ordinary share capital of the Company). Andrew Moss' total share holding in the Company remains unchanged at 87,043 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.18 per cent of the current issued ordinary share capital of the Company. This holding includes 48,192 deferred shares held under the terms of the Umeco Bonus Plan, representing 0.10 per cent of the current issued ordinary share capital of the Company. Andrew Moss has advised the Company that the transactions were entered into in light of changes to Capital Gains Tax rules effective from 6 April 2008.
