Sports Direct International plc ('the Company') was notified on 01 April 2009 by Michael James Wallace Ashley and by MASH Holdings Limited, a company wholly owned by Mike Ashley, that Mike Ashley has today transferred his entire shareholding of 410,400,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company to MASH Holdings Limited.
MASH Holdings Limited now own 71.19% of the issued share capital with voting rights of the Company.
The Takeover Panel has confirmed that the provision of the Takeover Code will not apply to the transfer of shares described above as MASH Holdings Limited is wholly owned by Mike Ashley.
