A company which is whollyowned by a trustee of a settlement under which James Mellon has a life interesthad made purchases in the open market on 14 April 2008. This company purchased 250,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each at an averageprice, before expenses of 38p per share. As a result of these purchases, James Mellon and entities connected with him nowhave interests in 55,519,497 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each or 19.55% of thetotal number of Ordinary Shares of US$ 0.01 each in issue.
