BTG plc: Director/PDMR Shareholding

London, UK, 23 January 2009: BTG plc (LSE: BGC) ("BTG" or "the Company"), the specialty pharmaceuticals company, today announces that following the acquisition of Protherics PLC ("Protherics"), which was completed on 4 December 2008, Dr John Brown, BTG's chairman, became the beneficial owner of 6,547 ordinary shares in BTG following the exchange of his beneficial holding of 22,500 Protherics shares at that date. This represents 0.003% of the current issued share capital of the Company.
