Director/PDMR Shareholding in Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")
The Company has been advised that on 10th November 2008 the Trustees of the Cable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") released 72,202 ordinary shares ("shares") in the Company to George Battersby, a Director of the Company, at a price of £1.655 per share. This release of shares relates to the maturity of the Company's 2005 Deferred Short Term Incentive Plan on 30th September 2008.
In addition, on the same date and on behalf of George Battersby, the Trust disposed of 34,867 shares in the Company at a price of £1.408 per share.
