NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
The Company was notified on 13 January 2010 that on 13 January 2010 Mr N R Withington, a person discharging managerial responsibilities, acquired 2,492 British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") following the exercise of options held under the British American Tobacco Sharesave Scheme at an option price of £6.63 per Share.
Following this notification, Mr Withington has a total beneficial and family interest in 103,395 Shares (including 34,388 Deferred Shares).
