Re: Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plcThe Company was notified on 7 July 2006 that the Trustees of Cable and Wirelessplc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") had made the followingdisposals : * 54,305 Ordinary shares on 6th July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.14 per share; * 183,201 Ordinary shares on 6th July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.1375 per share; and * 27,882 Ordinary shares on 7th July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.14 per share. Following the disposals, 49,111,086 Ordinary Shares are currently held underthe Trust. Rob Rowley, George Battersby, Tony Rice, John Pluthero, and HarrisJones (all being directors of Cable and Wireless plc) in their capacity asmembers of the class of beneficiaries under the Trust and Towers Perrin SharePlan Services (GSY) Limited in their capacity as Trustees of the Trust aredeemed to have a non-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.ENDCable & Wireless PLCRelated Shares:
