Director's Shareholding
Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 24 August 2010 it was informed that on that day, David Thompson, his wife Mrs Marika Thompson and his daughter Miss Marina Thompson, purchased the following quantities of shares, each into an ISA at 354.65p:

As a result of these transactions Mr Thompson and his connected persons are interested in 39,655 shares or 0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company (excluding Treasury Shares). Mr Thompson also has a non-beneficial interest of 12,155 ordinary shares.
The issued share capital of the Company on 24 August 2010 (excluding shares held in Treasury) was 301,171,561 ordinary shares.
