Directors Shareholding
On Friday 20th March 2009, Mr John Hutson, Chief Executive Officer, of JD Wetherspoon plc, sold 20,000 of the company's ordinary shares at a price of 391.3973p per share.
Mr Hutson also transferred 5,000 of the company's ordinary shares to his wife Nienke Hutson who immediately sold them at a price of 391.3973p per share.
Mr Hutson also exercised 2,900 share options to subscribe to ordinary 2p shares. They consisted of 2,500 options at an exercise price of 268p (due to expire in April 2009) and 400 options at a price of 333.8p (due to expire in September 2009).
Mr Hutson immediately sold 2,900 of the company's ordinary shares at a price of 391.3973p per share.
Following the above transactions, Mr Hutson now holds an interest of 99,823 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.07 per cent of the ordinary share capital of the Company.
