Re: Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plcThe Company was notified on 20 March 2006 that on 17 March 2006 the Trustees ofCable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") disposed of15,194 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.065 per share.Following the disposal, 51,192,998 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust.Francesco Caio, Rob Rowley, Charles Herlinger, Lord Robertson of Port Ellen,George Battersby, Harris Jones and John Pluthero (all being Directors of Cableand Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class of beneficiariesunder the Trust, and Towers Perrin Share Plan Services (GSY) Limited, in theircapacity as Trustees of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficial interestin these Ordinary Shares.No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.ENDCable & Wireless PLCRelated Shares:
