Announcement of transaction in ordinary shares by a Director/PDMR

The Company was informed today that on 11 December 2012 Felicity Martin, wife of Tim Martin, Chairman of JD Wetherspoon plc, transferred 5,539 of the company's ordinary shares to her brother Alistair Owen for a nil consideration.

Following this transaction, the joint holding of Tim and Felicity Martin is 33,466,934 shares (26.55% of the total voting rights).
