Notification of Transaction of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") or Connected Persons

On 22nd March 2012, the Company received notification that Mr Ian Hunter, a PDMR, sold a total of 2,160 Hargreaves Lansdown PLC 0.4p ordinary shares at a price of 486.70 pence per share.

The total number of ordinary shares sold represents 0.0005% of the ordinary shares in issue.

Mr Hunter's resultant shareholding is 734,366 ordinary shares which represents 0.15% of issued share capital.

Hargreaves Lansdown (Nominees) Limited is the registered shareholder as nominee for the above PDMR. The transaction took place in Bristol on 22nd March 2012.
