In the light of the guidance issued by the FSA on 9 January 2009 in relation to obligations to disclose security granted over shares, James Fisher & Sons plc (the "Company") announces that in November 2008 Anthony Cooke, a director of the Company, deposited 12,000 ordinary shares in the Company held by him into his New Special Reserve Fund which supports Mr.Cooke's underwriting activity at Lloyd's of London.
