Drax Group PLC10 May 2006 DRAX GROUP PLC ("DRAX") (Symbol: DRX) Directors' Share Dealings - Charitable Trust Gordon Horsfield, the Chairman of Drax, and his wife have established aCharitable Trust the objects of which are educational, social and religious. In connection with the funding of this Charitable Trust, the Board of Drax hasconsented in principle to the sale by him in the market of up to 770,000 sharesin the Company, on which there are no restrictions on transfer, and the transferto the Charitable Trust of up to 350,000 shares from the pool of shares he holdswhich are currently subject to transfer restrictions. These transferrestrictions, which will continue to apply in full to the Charitable Trust,include, inter-alia, a prohibition on the sale of these shares before 15December 2006.
