Greene King PLC17 January 2006 Directors' shareholdings Greene King plc announces that, on 16 January 2006, 83 new ordinary shares inthe company were transferred by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, astrustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust, to satisfy shares awarded to anemployee of the group. As a result of the transfer, Rooney Anand, Ian Bull,Justin Adams, Mark Angela and David Elliott, who are beneficiaries of the trust,no longer have an interest in the 83 shares in the company. This brings thenumber of new ordinary shares in the Company owned by the Greene King EmployeeShare Trust to a total of 507,222.
