Notification of Transactions of Directors / Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility and Connected Persons
Caledonia Investments plc ('Caledonia') announces that, on 1 September 2008, Mr P N Buckley, a director of Caledonia, exercised options over 100,000 ordinary shares in Caledonia, representing 0.17% of Caledonia's total issued ordinary share capital, at an exercise price of 740p per share. Of the shares received from the option exercise, Mr Buckley sold 30,000 shares at a price of 1953p per share to cover the tax liabilities resulting from the option exercise and gifted the balance of 70,000 shares to a related family trust.
All of the shares received by Mr Buckley from the option exercise were registered in the name of Caytrust Finance Company Limited.
Mr Buckley's total interests in Caledonia's shares following these transactions are as follows:
Beneficial - 479,127 shares = 0.82%
Non-beneficial - 311,500 shares = 0.53%
Options - 30,000 shares = 0.05%
Deferred bonus plan - 42,162 shares = 0.07%
This notification was received by the company on 3 September and relates to transactions notified by Mr Buckley in accordance with DTR 3.1.2R.
