Greene King plc announces that, on 16 July 2010, Rooney Anand, chief executive, exercised 112,127 share options, buying 15,633 of them with the full cash raised, net of tax and the cost of exercise, from the proceeds of the others. 52,326 share options were exercised at 296p and 59,801 at 332p. The market price was 445.2p.

As a result of these exercises the beneficial interest of Rooney Anand in the ordinary shares of Greene King plc is 176,106.
