Cable & Wireless PLC04 June 2007 Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company") The Company was notified on 1 June 2007 that the Trustee of Cable and Wirelessplc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") made the following disposal ofordinary shares ("shares") in the Company: • 19,035 shares on 30 April 2007 at a price of £1.856 per share; • 5,516 shares on 30 May 2007 at a price of £1.915 per share; • 1,599 shares on 31 May 2007 at a price of £1.971 per share; and • 860 shares on 1 June 2007 at a price of £2.002 per share. Following the disposals 36,355,866 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust. George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero and Tony Rice (all being directorsof Cable and Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class ofbeneficiaries under the Trust, and Lloyds TSB Offshore Trust Company Limited, intheir capacity as Trustee of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficialinterest in these Ordinary Shares.
