Legal & General Group PLC04 October 2006 Legal & General Group Plc ("Group") Legal & General Group Employee Share Plan ("the Plan") In common with all eligible employees, each of the executive directors of Legal& General Group Plc ("Group") have been invited to apply for partnership sharesunder the Plan on a monthly basis. On 2 October 2006, each executive directorchose to contribute to purchase the following partnership shares: Partnership Shares C. R. R. Avery 88T. J. Breedon 88A. W. Palmer 89R. A. Phipps 88J. B. Pollock 88 The Group matched these shares, on a one-to-one basis, up to £20 per month.Accordingly, each executive director received 14 matching shares. The shareswere purchased at a price of 141.75p per share. Differences are due to roundingfrom previous allocations. Avery 9,376 Lloyds TSB Registrars (the ISA manager) have also advised that, in accordancewith the terms of the Plan, they acquired 121 Ordinary shares of 2.5p each inthe group on 2 October 2006 at a price of 142.75p per share on behalf of Mrs J.C.
