Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")The Company has been advised that the Trustees of Cable and Wireless plcEmployee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") have made the following disposalsof shares: * 7,648 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.3525 per share on 26 September 2006; * 15,638 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.36 per share on 27 September 2006; * 30,496 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.37per share on 28 September 2006; * 21,288 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.375 per share on 28 September 2006; * 42,022 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.385 per share on 29 September 2006; and * 10,398 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.38 per share on 29 September 2006. In addition, two previous announcements have been updated and should read asfollows: * A disposal of 248,859 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.28 per share took place on 18 September 2006 (this transaction was announced on 25 September 2006); and * A disposal of 33,193 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.2975 per share took place on 22 September 2006 (this transaction was announced on 26 September 2006).
