NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Director in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 20 September 2012, John Bason, a Non-executive Director of the Company, purchased 932 Shares at a price of 711.00 pence each per Share. On the same day, a further 1,068 Shares were purchased for Mr Bason at a purchase price of 712.15 pence each per Share through an ISA.

Following these transactions, Mr Bason's shareholding has increased to 5,688 Shares, representing 0.0003% of the Company's issued share capital.
