BRIT Insurance Holdings PLC30 November 2006 For immediate release 30 November 2006 Brit Insurance Holdings PLC Notification of Interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") and connected persons Brit Insurance Holdings PLC ('the Company'), the UK-domiciled international general insurer and reinsurer, announces that Abacus Corporate Trustee Limited, the independent trustee (the 'Trustee') of the Brit Insurance Performance Share Plan 2003 ('PSP') notified the Company that it sold 7,563 shares on behalf of one participant of the PSP on 29 November 2006. The participant is not a director/PDMR of the Company. Following this transaction, the Trustee holds a total of 2,403,542 shares,representing approximately 0.73% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.The executive directors of the Company, together with other employees, arepotential beneficiaries under the PSP and are therefore treated as having aninterest in such shares.
