In accordance with Paragraph 3.1.2 of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, WS Atkins plc ("the Company") was notified on Thursday 16 October 2008 that on the 15 October 2008 the Trustees of the Plan purchased ordinary shares of 0.5 pence each in the Company at a price of £6.03 per share on behalf of the directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities, as set out below:
