Re: Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plcThe Company was notified on 5th April 2006 that on 3rd April 2006 the Trusteesof Cable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") disposedof 14,479 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.0675 per share.Following the disposal, 50,971,389 Ordinary Shares are currently held under theTrust. George Battersby, Charles Herlinger, Harris Jones, John Pluthero, TonyRice and Rob Rowley (all being directors of Cable and Wireless plc) in theircapacity as members of the class of beneficiaries under the Trust and TowersPerrin Share Plan Services (GSY) Limited in their capacity as Trustees of theTrust are deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.ENDCable & Wireless PLCRelated Shares:
