Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")
The Company was notified on 18 May 2007 that the Trustee of Cable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") has disposed of 2,157 Ordinary Shares ("shares") in relation to the maturity of a restricted share award to an individual without access to inside information.
Following the disposals 36,553,816 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust.
George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero and Tony Rice (all being directors of Cable and Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class of beneficiaries under the Trust, and Lloyds TSB Offshore Trust Company Limited, in their capacity as Trustee of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.
No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.
