NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

The Company was notified on 13 June 2013 that on 12 June 2013 Mr J B Stevens, an executive director and a person discharging managerial responsibilities, purchased 383 British American Tobacco p.l.c. shares ("the Shares") at a price of 3,530.5 pence per Share.
Following this transaction, Mr Stevens has a total beneficial and family interest in 121,191 Shares (including 61,822 Deferred Shares).
