The notification set out below is provided in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
Standard Life plc ('the Company') has been advised by Capita IRG Trustees Limited that on, 1 November 2016, Mr Peter Matthews, Person Closely Associated with Mr Paul Stephen Matthews, exercised 3,313 options over ordinary shares of 122/9 pence each at an option price of £2.716 per share. These options were granted under the Standard Life Sharesave Plan as approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 17 May 2011.
Mr Paul Stephen Matthews' total holding following the exercise, including those of all Persons Closely Associated with him, is 241,173 ordinary shares of 122/9 pence each in the Company.
