Northumbrian Water Group PLC01 May 2007 Northumbrian Water Group plc (the "Company") Notification of Directors' and PDMR Interests in Shares The Company was advised on 1 May 2007 by the Trustee of the Northumbrian WaterGroup plc Share Incentive Plan (the "Plan") that on 1 May 2007 it purchased 458ordinary 10 pence shares in the Company ("Ordinary shares") at £3.2750 per shareon behalf of each of John Cuthbert (Director), Chris Green (Director) and CeriJones (PDMR). In addition, pursuant to the rules of the Plan, Mr Cuthbert, Mr Green and MrJones were each granted a further 153 Ordinary shares for nil consideration.
