Directors' Share Dealing

The Company has been notified that on 10 October 2012, Roger McDowell, Non-Executive Chairman, acquired 250,000 ordinary shares of 0.5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 21.5 pence per Ordinary Share.

Following this purchase Roger McDowell now has a beneficial interest in 500,000 Ordinary Shares in Alkane, representing 0.50% of the issued share capital.
