The Company announces that it has today received notification from Halifax Corporate Trustees Limited (the 'Trustee') as trustee of the Enterprise Inns 2005 Share Incentive Plan (the 'SIP') of the following transactions in the Company's Ordinary Shares of 2.5 pence (the 'Shares'):
that 425,693 Shares were purchased at 64.57 pence per share on 17th December 2008
that 136,577 Shares were purchased at 73.13 pence per share on 18th December 2008
that 19,932 Matching Shares already held as unallocated Shares in the SIP Trust were allocated
that 291,101 of these Shares were allocated as Partnership Shares
that 291,101 of these Shares were allocated as Matching Shares
Under the 2008 SIP offer to employees, for the financial year beginning 1st October 2008, the Company gave participating employees one Matching Shares for each Partnership Share bought by them up to a maximum value of £1,500.00 per annum per employee plus any residual cash balances held by the Trustee.
A total of 582,202 Shares (Partnership and Matching Shares) were allocated to employees under the rules of the SIP at 62 pence per share and are held by the Trustee.
