NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

Compass Group PLC (the "Company") announces the following change in the interests of a Director in ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the share capital of the Company ("Shares").

On 4 September 2012, Susan Murray, a Non-executive Director of the Company, increased her shareholding in the Company by the purchase of 3,000 Shares at a purchase price of 701.29 pence each per Share.

Following this transaction, Ms Murray's shareholding is 13,000 Shares, representing 0.0007% of the Company's issued share capital, which currently exceeds the shareholding that Ms Murray is required to hold under the Company's shareholding guidelines.
