UNITED UTILITIES PLC PERFORMANCE SHARE PLAN 14 December 2007
The following contingent option award was granted on 14 December 2007 pursuant to the performance share plan approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 21 July 2000 and amended at the Annual General Meeting on 28 July 2006. The figures reflect the maximum number of shares over which the option might be exercised. The actual number will depend upon the extent to which the established performance conditions are satisfied over the performance period. Under the rules, the awards are subject to uplift for notional dividends made or paid during the performance period. Accordingly, as at the date of the award, 975 dividend shares have been added to the award in respect of the dividend of 30.30 pence per share paid on 24th August 2007 making a total award of 22,786 ordinary shares.
