NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
The Company was notified on 8 July 2008 that on 7 July 2008 Mr N R Withington acquired 174 ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Shares") at a price of 1727 pence per Share as a result of the quarterly reinvestment of income by his ISA Manager.
Following this transaction, Mr Withington has a total beneficial and family interest in 68,919 Shares (including 27,694 Defered Shares).
