Tristel plc ("Tristel" or the "Company"), the infection and contamination control business, has been informed of the following transaction by one of its directors:

Paul Swinney, Chief Executive Officer, sold 100,000 Ordinary Shares of 1p each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company at 56.5 per share on 18 March 2010. Following this transaction, Mr Swinney is beneficially interested in 1,359,742 Ordinary Shares, representing 4.10% of the Company's issued share capital.
