BRIT Insurance Holdings PLC27 November 2006 For immediate release 27 November 2006 Brit Insurance Holdings PLC Notification of Interests of Directors and Persons Discharging ManagerialResponsibility ("PDMR") and connected persons Brit Insurance Holdings PLC ('the Company'), the UK-domiciled internationalgeneral insurer and reinsurer, announces that Abacus Corporate Trustee Limited,the independent trustee (the 'Trustee') of the Brit Insurance Performance SharePlan 2003 ('PSP') notified the Company that it sold 85,396 shares on behalf ofeleven participants of the PSP on 22 November 2006 and transferred 34,763 sharesto four participants. The participants are not Directors/PDMRs of the Company. Following these transactions, the Trustee holds a total of 2,411,105 shares,representing approximately 0.74% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.The executive directors of the Company, together with other employees, arepotential beneficiaries under the PSP and are therefore treated as having aninterest in such shares.
