SDL PLC ("the Company") was advised that John Matthews, consultant to and PDMR of the Company, purchased 5,000 ordinary shares at a price of 425.6964p per share on 27 November 2012.

As a result of this transaction John Matthews' beneficial holdings in the Company increase from 15,000 representing 0.019% of the Company's issued share capital to 20,000, 0.025%.
