CORRECTION

Poundland Group plc (the "Group") announces that on 4th August 2014, Darren Shapland, Non-Executive Chairman acquired 20,000 ordinary shares of 1p at a price of 323p each.

Mr Shapland's total holding in the Group now stands at 20,000 approximately 0.01% of the issued share capital.
