Greene King PLC17 August 2005 Directors' shareholdingsGreene King plc announces that, on 16 August 2005, 2,000 shares in the companywere transferred by Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Limited, as trustee ofthe Greene King Employee Share Trust, to satisfy options exercised by employeesunder the Greene King Executive Share Option Scheme 1994. As a result of thetransfer, Michael Shallow, Rooney Anand, Mark Angela and David Elliott, who arebeneficiaries of the trust, no longer have an interest in the 2,000 shares inthe company. This brings the number of shares in the Company owned by the GreeneKing Employee Share Trust to a total of 356,383.
