GlaxoSmithKline PLC09 March 2007 Notification of Transactions of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility or Connected Persons I give below details of changes in the interests of Directors, PersonsDischarging Managerial Responsibility or Connected Persons in the OrdinaryShares of GlaxoSmithKline plc. The Administrators of the GlaxoSmithKline US Retirement Savings Plan ("the Plan") notified GlaxoSmithKline plc on 9 March 2007, that as a result of a movement in the fund on 8 March 2007, the number of Ordinary Share ADRs held by the fund had changed from 16,237,928 to 16,204,663 at an average price of $55.87 The Plan is a discretionary fund of which all employees or former employees ofGlaxoSmithKline plc and its subsidiaries are potential beneficiaries. Two of theCompany's directors, Dr J P Garnier and Dr M M Slaoui are therefore potentiallyinterested in the shares held in the fund from time to time in the same way asother employees or former employees of GlaxoSmithKline plc and its subsidiaries.
