Greene King PLC04 August 2005 Greene King plc announces that On 4 August 2005 it granted options to thefollowing executive directors under the rules of the Executive Share OptionScheme, over the following numbers of ordinary shares: Rooney Anand 30,000 Mark Angela 18,000 David Elliott 18,000 The options are at a price of 1,317p per share and can be exercised (subject tothe performance conditions being met) between 4 August 2008 and 3 August 2015. In addition, the company also granted awards to the following executivedirectors under the rules Of the Long Term Incentive Plan, in respect of thefollowing number of ordinary shares: Rooney Anand 30,000 Mark Angela 18,000 David Elliott 18,000 The awards nave been made in the form of restricted forfeitable shares whichwill be forfeited if the performance conditions (to be satisfied over the threefinancial years of the company to May 2008) are not met. The directors will beentitled to receive dividends on the shares. The award has been funded by the transfer of shares from Kleinwort Benson(Guernsey) Trustees Ltd, as trustee of the Greene King Employee Share Trust.
