National Express Group PLC11 August 2005 The independent trustee of the National Express Group Employee Benefit Trust(the "Trust") notified the Company on 10 August 2005 that it had on the same daytransferred 812 ordinary 5p shares at £4.17 to satisfy the exercise of optionsby employees under the Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme. Following this transaction the Trust holds a total of 1,159,641 shares in theCompany in which the executive directors of the Company, Messrs P.M. White, R.O'Toole and A.C. Walker are deemed to be technically interested for CompaniesAct purposes. They were not however connected with the above transactions.
