Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")
The Company was notified on 9 May 2007 that the Trustee of Cable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") have undertaken the following disposals in the Company's Ordinary Shares ("shares"):
* 12,745 shares at a price of ‚£1.89 per share; * 987 shares at a price of ‚£1.856 per share; and * 2,548 shares at a price of ‚£1.735 per share.
These disposals relate to the vesting of restricted shares to two individuals, none of whom has access to inside information.
Following the disposals 36,555,973 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust.
George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero and Tony Rice (all being directors of Cable and Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class of beneficiaries under the Trust, and Lloyds TSB Offshore Trust Company Limited, in their capacity as Trustee of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.
No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.
