21 April 2006NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS AND PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIALRESPONSIBILITY ("PDMRs")United Business Media plc has today been notified of the following dealings inits ordinary shares of 30 5/14 pence by Anne Siddell, a PDMR;On 20 April 2006 Ms Siddell exercised an option over 40,000 Ordinary sharesunder the 1994 Executive Share Option Scheme, granted on 14 December 1998, atan exercise price of 511.0 pence per share, and an option over 18,000 Ordinaryshares under the UBM2000 Executive Share Option Scheme, granted on 9 April2003, at an exercise price of 247.25 pence per share.55,000 of the Ordinary shares were sold on the same day at a price of 734.2594pence per share.On 21 April 2006 3,048 ordinary shares of 30 5/14 pence in the company weretransferred to Ms Siddell by the Trustees of the United Business Media plc ESOPTrust following the vesting of conditional share awards, and 3,313 ordinaryshares of 30 5/14 pence in the company were transferred to Ms Siddell by theTrustees of the United Business Media plc ESOP Trust following the exercise ofoptions granted under the Medium Term Incentive Plan ("MTIP").As a result of the above dealings, Ms Siddell holds options over 148,656ordinary shares under the company's long-term incentive plans, and holds or hasinterests in 9,361 Ordinary shares, representing 0.003% of issued ordinaryshares.Nigel YoudsAssistant Company SecretaryENDUNITED BUSINESS MEDIA PLCRelated Shares:
