Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")
The Company was notified today that on 3rd April 2007 the Trustee of Cable and Wireless plc Employee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") made the following disposal of shares:
* 4,601 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.682 per share; and
* 3,094 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.725 per share.
Following the disposals 36,784,970 Ordinary Shares are held under the Trust.
George Battersby, Harris Jones, John Pluthero and Tony Rice (all being directors of Cable and Wireless plc), in their capacity as members of the class of beneficiaries under the Trust, and Lloyds TSB Offshore Trust Company Limited, in their capacity as Trustee of the Trust, are deemed to have a non-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.
No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.
