NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules sourcebook.
The Company was notified on 14 May 2008 that, on the same day, Mr P H Taylor, a person discharging managerial responsibilities, acquired 1,429 British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") following the exercise of options held under the British American Tobacco Sharesave Scheme, at an option price of £6.63 per Share.
On the same day, Mr Taylor sold 1,429 Shares at a price of £20.03 per Share.
Following this transaction, Mr Taylor has a total beneficial and family interest in 127,357 Shares (including 24,071 Deferred Shares).
