In light of the guidance issued by the FSA on 9 January 2009 in relation to obligations to disclose security granted over shares, Grainger plc ('the Company') announces that Stephen Dickinson, Deputy Chairman, has notified the Company that he has granted security over 2,002,185 ordinary shares in the Company, the majority of which relate to security arrangements that were in place before the company was listed in 1983.
