Anglo American PLC30 May 2007 Anglo American plc (the "Company") Registered office: 20 Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1Y 5AN Registered number: 3564138 Directors' Interests The Company announces that it was notified by Mr D A Hathorn, an ExecutiveDirector of the Company, that, on 29 May 2007, Mr Hathorn sold 10,000 AngloAmerican plc Ordinary shares (the "Shares") at a price of £29.52 per share.Accordingly, Mr Hathorn's beneficial interest in Shares has decreased by 10,000. As previously announced, Mr Hathorn will step down from the board of the Companyupon the demerger of the Mondi group which, subject to receiving shareholderapproval, is expected to be effected during July 2007.
